Let's Help Protect Planet Earth
Let's all do our part to save this planet - for many generations to come
1. Water
Water is one of the most precious natural resources on the planet. Traditional electricity production can use thousands of liters of water each year to cool machinery, generators, processing and refining fuel as well as to facilitate the transportation of oil & fuel. The operation of solar photovoltaic cells doesn’t require water at all to generate electricity, reducing the strain on environmental conservationists that work tirelessly to protect the lakes, rivers and oceans from power plants.
2. Air pollution
Burning fossil fuels generate harmful gases such as carbon dioxide and methane, lowering the quality of the air and polluting the skies. Inhaling these toxic chemicals daily can also have dire consequences on public health. Using the sun to generate electricity instead of fossil fuels means that less harmful and toxic gases are released into the atmosphere every year.
3. Climate Change
The release of toxic gases into the atmosphere, such as carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide slowly but surely contributes to the greenhouse effect. This in turn causes the global temperatures to rise, which has various adverse effects such as natural disasters, loss of habitat, loss of wildlife and countless other ramifications which we may not have ever encountered. Solar energy is our best solution when it comes to slowing down climate change.
4. The Sun
If we could harness all of the sunlight that hits planet Earth for just one hour, we would have enough electricity to supply the whole world for a year! Isn’t that amazing? The truth is, all forms of electricity originated from the sun. Whatever form of energy you use, it originated from the sun – that’s why the future really is solar. It’s just about how efficiently we can harness all the energy the wonderful sun provides us with!
